 Today we wrote letters to very important community helpers... police officers!  Tomorrow is Career Day for my kiddos and we have been discussing various careers.  We talked about people in our community that help us.  As a class we decided to write letters to police officers, nurses, and firefighters.   My students were eager to write letters to either a police officer they know, or to a police officer in our school community!  These kids did not disappoint!
